Artist Statement

A lot of the designs that I create take on a more simplistic approach so that the design is memorable and easy to understand. I'm attracted to finding intelligent ways of designing projects that have a negative/positive space impact on the viewer for visual appeal, like in the Gestalt Principles. I either formulate these ideas through my head, search for inspiration, or experiment with shapes to visually find something interesting that would help drive the concept of the design. My inventive side inspires me to create something that has never been thought of or done before. Therefore, I enjoy designing, creating songs, and finding solutions to problems. Due to these interests, it is understandable why I am also drawn to timeless or even more future based designs. My overall goal as a designer is to learn and improve on my skills in the programs, thought process for effective design solutions, and the necessary experience that is needed as I continue in the field.
